In the lead up to Rare Disease Day, we’re releasing a new MG Matters episode that sheds light on late‑onset myasthenia gravis (MG)—an experience shared by many people living with this rare condition. It’s a reminder that rare diseases are not one‑size‑fits‑all, and that personalized, patient‑centered care is essential to improving outcomes. 

This MG Matters episode explores the challenges in the diagnosis and management of late-onset MG. Prof. Pushpa Narayanaswami and Dr. Elena Cortés-Vicente discuss the definition of late-onset MG and very late-onset MG, how these differ from early-onset MG, and how misconceptions around MG as a disease can hamper diagnosis.
