Social Media Community Guidelines

Inspired by Patients. Driven by science. In line with our motto, at UCB we value the opportunities social media provides us with to share our voice and stay close to the digital community and hear its voice. The Pharmaceutical industry is a highly regulated environment and therefore we hope you understand that we cannot allow some conversations on our channels.

Some guidelines we must follow are reported hereafter and we kindly ask you to do the same.

We would love to stay in touch as much as we can and we’ll do our best to reply to your queries, comments, direct messages or @mentions.

Professional Courtesy: We ask that you approach others with the same courtesy and respect that would be expected in any professional setting.

Medical Advice: Social media is not the appropriate place to discuss medical advice. For any questions related to treatment or medication we warmly invite you to consult your healthcare provider. Alternatively, please contact UCBcares@ucb.com.

Please do not reveal any personal identifiable information, discuss patient health information, customers, suppliers or other companies/institutions without their approval.

Adverse events and/or product complaints: We care about any issue you might have experience with one of our products, regardless of whether it is a medicine or a device. Social media is not the correct place to inform us about this. However, if you choose to inform us on social media we may follow up with you to ask for more information and report the event/complaints. We may remove your post to protect your privacy. To report correctly any issue about your experience with one of our products please follow the instruction reported on the important note at this link.

Off topic: This channel provides the opportunity to all users with an interest in discussing topics posted by UCB Biopharma SRL. We welcome everyone’s opinion and we ask you to respect everyone’s opinion making sure the conversations on our channel stays on topic and remains of value for all the users. We will delete messages that:-

  • · Include products including those in development, or where these are inferred
  • · are offensive, abusive, discriminatory and/or include profanity or demeaning language or content (including images, videos and links)
  • · are disparaging, threatening, condone violence or illegal behavior
